Lenoir Community College’s “Job Ready-Lenoir” is a partnership developed to meet hiring and retention needs of MasterBrand Cabinets. Developing a partnership with the College, NCWorks, Human Resources Development, and MasterBrand created a project that not only assisted MasterBrand but also created opportunities for students who were not hired. Originally starting as an HRD class in 2019, it now has evolved to provide an orientation for CDL classes as well as incumbent supervisor training for local employers. Changing the program delivery and adapting the methodology to meet the needs of students and employers has created a successful program for the local community.
